Behind every great hip-hop song is a great producer. im'peretiv aims to be that great producer for Vancouver and BC.

Im'peretiv moved to BC in 2008 for snowboarding, but collapsed his eye socket filming and lost his creative outlet. At the time his younger brother was attending PAVI (Pacific Audio Visual Institue) and producing hiphop/rap. Having always been a fan of the music and culture im'peretiv started studying production. Producers like Alchemist, Ski Beatz, J Dilla and his idol Kanye West.

Nate Butcher, professionally known as im'peretiv, is a Hip-Hop/Rap producer based out of Vancouver, BC. im'peretiv is more than just a music producer, he has provided many artists with album/single artwork, video production and motion graphics. An artist who loves to create.

Having started making beats in 2010 im'peretiv quickly started turning heads and opening ears in the local Vancouver Hip-Hop/Rap scene. In his early work im'peretiv worked predominantly with J. West. The two put out 2 collaborative EPS and im'peretiv executive produced his album 'W'. im'peretiv also served as J. Sociomedia (26k views on facebook). It was recently announced that Junk and im'peretiv would be releasing a 5 track EP, Together in Pieces EP, in January 2019. im'peretiv has also hinted at an im'peretiv produced album in 2019, Burial Plots & Pyramid Schemes as well as a beat tape "High Quality Gutters". im'peretiv shows no signs of slowing down, wanting to put his name alongside Noah '40' Shebib, Metro Boomin, Alchemist and Mike Will Made-It. When you hear his producer tag at the start of any track, "im'peretiv ... im'peretiv ... 'peretiv", you're going to want to turn it up!
